CM 131 CHAIR RANGE
Available both as a set of 2 chairs and as an individual carver/bridge, CM 131 was designed by Pierre Paulin in 1955. Ligne Roset returned to the original manufacturer, Pagholz, in 2018 to create this re-issue using the original moulds. The seat shell is made by moulding beech plywood and resin at very high pressure and temperature, a method borrowed from the aeronautics industry (and was at the time a revolutionary process). This results in a degree of flexibility and robustness equal to that of plastic. The process is the reason for the folds of wood on the edges of the shell, which differ from one another.
Ergonomic chair shell in dark brown-stained resinated, moulded, pressed beech multi-ply in a glossy finish. Base in black lacquered round steel with protective tips on legs. The carver/bridge includes armrests in solid beech, stained to match the shell.
